The
FIFA U-17 World Cup 2015 will be the fourth FIFA tournament to take place in
Chile, a football-mad country in which matches attract large crowds nationwide.
The
2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup will be the sixteenth tournament of the FIFA
world cup on 3rd March 2011 where FIFA revealed Chile was the next
country to host the tournament.
Along with proposing ten venues
for Chile's hosting of the 2015 copa America, the Chilean football federation
also announced its plans for hosting of the U17 World Cup in the same
year.
On 8 April 2014, 8 cities were
confirmed as host of the competition, with Copiapó ana Quillota being dropped.
The Local organizing committees have also said that the capital City (Santiago)
would not host the final.
